Tarbert Stores
Built sometime before 1900, this listed timber building is a rarity in the Western Isles. Owing to the lack of local trees and the high cost of transport, timber is an unusual building material for the area.

The view from an upper window of the Hotel Hebrides, the shadow of which is in the foreground. The building with the four sets of windows is self-catering holiday accommodation, and the low grey building is the Hotel Hebrides' storeroom - not too convenient when it's pouring with rain!
