Tolastadh bho Tuath (North Tolsta)
A couple of whitewashed traditional houses by the roadside in Tolastadh bho Tuath. The first one looks as if it may have been built in the late 18th or early 19th century, but the other, with its dormer windows, is later.

Tolastadh bho Tuath (North Tolsta)
Most of the houses at Tolastadh bho Tuath are sited along side roads which curve round to meet the main road again. This is the north end of the side road to seaward. The sign points to Cladh Tholastaidh. 'Cladh' means a kirkyard or burial ground. The letters 'h' and 'i' inserted in 'Tolastadh' indicate the genitive case of the name, like adding an apostrophe and 's' at the end of an English word.
