Our Holy Redeemer
The Roman Catholic Church, after decades of being based in a temporary 'tin' building, opened its first purpose built church, Our Holy Redeemer, in Stornoway on the corner of Scotland Street and Kenneth Street in 1990. In November 2004 the building was destroyed by fire. A newly designed building was constructed and it re-opened in May 2007 with a dedication mass conducted by the Bishop of Argyll.

Kenneth Street
This is the lower end of Kenneth Street, it joins with South Beach at the other side of town. The junction to the left is Scotland Street, behind to the right is Cromwell Street and behind to the left is Bayhead Street.

Bayhead Veterinary Practice
Hector Low, BVMS, MRCVS based his veterinary practice in this dull building for many years. At the end of August 2013 he moved to new premises called Old Mill Veterinary Practice, Sandwich Road, Stornoway. This is the only veterinary practice on Lewis and Harris.
