Lush meadow near Aylhill
Looking north-west across the apple orchards to Lady's Wood at the top of the hill. The grass here was a foot deep and no doubt provided some useful late season feed.

Apple orchard at Putley
Heading north along the main track through the orchard, which is also the route of the excellent Three Choirs Way long distance footpath, which links Gloucester, Hereford and Worcester in a 100-mile long circuit. Tempting ripe eating apples here, which are about to be harvested into the boxes at the back.
