Bridge crossing a former canal
When the railway line was built the arch on the right crossed the Herefordshire and Gloucestershire Canal. It took many years to complete this canal, it finally reached Hereford in 1845, little more than ten years before the railway reach the city.

A skew railway bridge
I have driven under this railway bridge many times but never noticed what an amazing structure it is. This skew bridge used to carry the Gloucester to Ledbury railway over the A438 Hereford Road in Ledbury. The railway closed to passengers in 1959.
