Hop Picking at Cold Green Farm
The two cutters in the "crows nest" cut the hop bines at the top by the wires.(The bottoms have been cut at ground level beforehand) There are two people standing in the trailer (just about visible) who load the bines as they fall.

The bines from the field on the left have been cleared, the one on the right is yet to be harvested.

Hop yard at Cold Green Farm
See https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2974601 for the same view taken at the same time of year in 1986. There used to be hop poles in the field to the left of the track also. These have now been pulled up and hop-growing seems to be declining in this area.
(The Malvern Hills are visible in the background here. In the 1986 photo they are difficult to make out)
