Court of Noke
Elegant country house from c. 1700 by the River Arrow, situated in the parish of Pembridge but is more close-by to Staunton on Arrow. Altered in the late C19, Court of Noke was grade II* listed on 19th August 1953, and here it is from a country lane to the east.

The water gardens in front of this country house are in fact part of the water supply system to the estate water mill that provided food for a herd of prize winning cattle. This was seen as part of National Mills Open Weekend.

Court of Noke, Staunton on Arrow
Dated c1700, for George Mason, a pretty but simple facade with some interest provided by the pediment and Doric porch. The dormers were altered in 1994. Grade II* listed.

Court of Noke (1) near Staunton on Arrow
Noke dates back to Domesday, but the present house is believed to have been rebuilt by George Mason around 1700. It is grade II listed. The house is also renowned for its water gardens, which some think may have originally been a moat. These are filled from a weir on the nearby River Arrow. It also provided a head of water for the Court Noke Mill, which is just west of the house.
The house, gardens and mill are not open to the public, but during National Mills Weekend in May 2011, the mill was open and the public were also allowed to walk around the water gardens.

Court of Noke
The Court of Noke is situated close to the River Arrow between the villages of Staunton on Arrow and Pembridge. This Queen Anne style house dates from the early 18th century and is Grade II* listed. See: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1349923
In the past 15 years the house and contemporary water gardens have been restored.

Court of Noke estate water mill
We were not alone on this National Mills Open Weekend event. The low breastshot wheel in the protruding house is now being repaired. Although not a big mill, the setting is really nice and it's an interesting site. The mill provided feed for prize winning Hereford cattle.
