The lane slopes steeply down to Humber Brook, interrupted by the bridge over the former Bromyard and Leominster railway line, closed in 1952.

Paddington 143 miles
Fifty years after the line was dismantled, the former railway bridge at Lower Docklow survives by virtue of being conjoined with the bridge over Humber Brook. The inscription indicates that the structure is 143 miles, zero chains from London Paddington. No traces of the trackbed survive at his point.

No traces
Only the bridge abutment at bottom left gives a clue that this was, until 1958, the course of the Bromyard and Leominster railway. The last service trains ran in 1952, after which the line was used for storing surplus stock before finally being dismantled.
