Expensively reordered by W.H. Knight in 1865-7 at the expense of local landowner Thomas Evans. In the village centre, at the heart of the community. The ordinary exterior belies the splendour within. The chancel mosaics by Salviati of Venice(1887) are major works of Victorian art and were also provided courtesy of the Evans family of the long demolished Moreton Court. Harriet Evans funded the work as a memorial to her late husband Thomas.

St Andrew, Moreton on Lugg
The West window, by Morris and Co, 1920, based on earlier designs by Edward Burne-Jones, but executed long after his death (1898). William Morris had died two years earlier, but his company survived in its original form until 1940. The window is a memorial to Mrs Lillian Eliza Glenny, born at Moreton Court in 1858 and who died at Sidmouth in 1919.

The North wall of the chancel, with mosaics by Salviati and Co of Murano, Venice depicting Heaven. These, and the others lining the whole chancel were provided by Harriet Evans as a memorial to husband Thomas in 1887.

The nave, looking West. The two mosaic panels on the South wall, also by Salviati of Murano, date from 1899 and are of a lower quality to the work in the chancel. The arcade on the left dates from the late 15th century and the west window is a work by Morris and Co of 1920.
