The Cathedrals Express
A Steam Dreams railtour to Shrewsbury and back passes Wellington level crossing on a gloomy Saturday, double-headed by Ian Riley's Stanier Black Fives 44871 and 45407. To quote Chuck Berry 'many people coming from miles around .....' because by the time the train passed by a crowd of more than 30 people of all ages and genders had gathered to witness the stirring sight of steam at speed on the main line.

A small, but enthusiastic family audience had gathered to see the gleaming locomotive thunder past.

The Marches Castle railtour at Wellington Crossing
The Pathfinder Marches Castle railtour hurtles past Wellington level crossing, minus the Castle. Ex-GWR 5029 Nunney Castle was the booked locomotive for this train, but it failed and was replaced by EWS liveried Class 67 67016. The train appeared to be fully occupied.
