Hay Cinema Bookshop
This is probably the biggest of the many bookshops in Hay on Wye. I've long since stopped trawling the bookshops because the internet has made it so much easier.

Hay Town Shuttle (1)
During the 2012 Hay Festival, there was a frequent bus shuttle service calling at the Town Clock, main car park and the festival site. This bus is on Oxford Road, having just left the bus stop alongside the main car park. A £1 ticket entitles you to travel on any shuttle bus that day.

Horse figure at the entrance to The Sound Castle, Hay-on-Wye
Viewed across Oxford Road. I don't know what the horse figure is made from, but it looked rather bedraggled on a rainy day. Part of the Hay Festival, The Sound Castle behind the horse "embraces an explosion of new musical talents within funk, gospel, soul, folk, hip-hop, electronica, and jazz. Featuring beautifully crafted live performances that incorporate double drums, string quartets, and live electronics. Mercury Prize winners and future stars."
