Salem Baptist Chapel and Oriel Gallery, Hay-on-Wye
The original Salem Baptist Chapel on this site was built in 1650. The chapel seen here is the 1877 rebuild (of the first rebuild in the early nineteenth century). Oriel Gallery on the left is located in the chapel's former school room.

Old Methodist chapel in Oxford Road
This was formerly the early C19 Trinity Chapel incorporating an Italianate tower (now a private house called Twr-y-capel) and a minister's house, now a shop, on the corner of an alley named Back Fold.

Hay Castle, Hay-on-Wye
The castle has been under attack many times throughout its history. It was destroyed by King John in 1216. In 1977 a great part of it was destroyed by fire.
