St. Ethelbert Street
The street on the right is St. Ethelbert Street. The street disappearing on the left is Cantilupe Street. Ethelbert was the King of East Anglia, who was murdered on the orders of King Offa, the King of Mercia, in the late 8th century. The church made Ethelbert a saint, and for a period his remains were kept at Hereford.
