Entrance to Wilton Park
Wilton Park was a country house taken over in WW2 as a prisoner of war centre. It subsequently became a diplomatic conference centre and latterly the ministry of defence language school. It is currently closed and awaiting redevelopment. This checkpoint is deserted.

Officer's Mess towerblock accommodation - Wilton Park
This photograph was taken in the Royal Army Educational Corps. centre in Wilton park. The block itself is most unusual in that it is entirely brick-built and 15 stories in height. Rumour has it that the Queen took exception to this building when it was built in, I believe, 1969. The reason was that this is by far and away the tallest building in this affluent area by some margin, it also has an uninterrupted view of Windsor Castle, and I have been led to believe there were 'privacy issues'. I used to work in this camp and in high winds this block would sway terribly, I'm glad I wasn't having to live in it. Below the tower in the foreground is the HQ of the Army Eduction centre.
