Beaconsfield: St Michael's Green
These are examples of a comparatively rare road sign, that of no coaches allowed, or more strictly "No vehicles designed to carry more than 8 passengers (excluding driver) or local buses". The reason for the signs is to stop coaches using the residential roads around the Bekonscot Model Village and Railway, and to use the dedicated coach park instead. To be honest if a coach managed to reach this location they would have already made a convoluted journey and would have a difficult reversing task to get out!

Beaconsfield railway station
The Great Western and Great Central Joint Railway opened their line through Beaconsfield in 1906, and as can be seen from this and other photographs of the railway in the vicinity it involved the excavation of a long cutting. The main station building visible here is probably the original. This is the view from the multi-storey station car park, the original ground level version of which was built in the area formerly occupied by the railway goods yard.
