RAEC Centre, Wilton Park, Beaconsfield from top of towerblock
This is the view from the top of the Officer's mess tower block in Wilton Park, below is the Army school of eduction building and HQ, in the middle distance is the guardroom, to the left is the gymnasium and the junior ranks accommodation blocks are to the rear of the photo. This photo taken on a very hazy summer's day, on a clear day Windsor castle is clearly visible on the horizon.

Officer's Mess towerblock accommodation - Wilton Park
This photograph was taken in the Royal Army Educational Corps. centre in Wilton park. The block itself is most unusual in that it is entirely brick-built and 15 stories in height. Rumour has it that the Queen took exception to this building when it was built in, I believe, 1969. The reason was that this is by far and away the tallest building in this affluent area by some margin, it also has an uninterrupted view of Windsor Castle, and I have been led to believe there were 'privacy issues'. I used to work in this camp and in high winds this block would sway terribly, I'm glad I wasn't having to live in it. Below the tower in the foreground is the HQ of the Army Eduction centre.
