This station is in Zone 8 of the London Underground on the Metropolitan Line and it serves the villages of Little Chalfont and Latimer in the county of Buckinghamshire.

Chalfont & Latimer station
A Chiltern Railways train from Marylebone bound for Aylesbury on the opposite platform. Chalfont & Latimer is one of a number of stations that share Underground and main-line facilities in this part of the network, this station is run/owned by London Underground.

Chalfont & Latimer station, 1984
View SE, towards Rickmansworth and London (Baker Street and Marylebone): ex-Metropolitan & Great Central Joint main line, to Aylesbury, Leicester and the North, junction of the branch to Chesham. The electrification of the London Transport ex-Metropolitan line from Baker Street was extended to Amersham (and Chesham) on 12/9/60 and services to Aylesbury reverted to steam, then Diesel trains from Marylebone, the ex-GC main line to the north having been closed in 1966.

Chalfont & Latimer railway and Underground station
Opened in 1889 by the Metropolitan Railway on the line from London Baker Street to Chesham, also Aylesbury.
View north west towards Aylesbury and the branch to Chesham. Like 55% of the London Underground network, this part is actually overground.

Auto-train for Chesham leaving Chalfont & Latimer Station
View westward, towards Amersham and Aylesbury on the ex-Metropolitan & Great Central Joint line from London (Baker Street and Marylebone) to Aylesbury and beyond, from which the branch to Chesham turns off to the right after a mile or so. The train is made up of old Metropolitan coaches and propelled by LMS-type Ivatt 2MT 2-6-2T No. 41272.
