Old Milestone by the A404 in Little Chalfont
Cast iron post by the A404, in the parish of Little Chalfont (Chiltern District), Amersham Road, Little Chalfont, at the junction with Chessfield Park, East of Railway station, on a very wide, well cut grass verge, between the main road and Amersham Way, on the South side of road. Wilder gabled iron casting, erected by the Reading & Hatfield turnpike trust in the 19th century.

Amersham Road
These 1920s houses are set back from Amersham Road. Just five minutes walk from Chalfont and Latimer station on the Metropolitan line, they were probably built as that line extended into Buckinghamshire and are still very desirable properties despite the relative proximity to a busy A road.
