Latimer: Site of Roman Villa
Latimer Park Farm, to the left of this view, occupies the site of a former Roman farm villa. This view was taken looking south westwards from the slope below Latimer House across the artificial Great Water lake and the valley of the River Chess.

North of West Wood is a short section of arable land leading down to the farm by the River Chess, where many corporate events take place.

The Neptune Waterfall
The Neptune Waterfall was built in the 1750s, occupying the site of an earlier mill. It dams the River Chess and holds the water for a lake known as the Great Water.
