The path runs between two channels of the river, looking as if at least one powered something downstream, this is looking upstream. This channel is very dry, as is frequently the case in season in these chalk lands.

Chesham: The Queens Head
The Queens Head is a Fuller's outlet in the Pednormead End area of Chesham.
It is a Grade II Listed Building, and the Historic England website describes it thus:-
"Early to mid C19. Red stretcher grey headers, hipped Welsh slated roof with wide eaves. 2 storeys, 5 sashes with glazing bars in reveals under cutter flat arches. Wing on left lower with 2 flush Yorkshire casements with glazing bars."
Despite appearances the building is distinctly not rectangular in plan.
