The area of garden nearer to the camera was sold for building in 1966 see http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1756312 for £2000. Unfortunately it incurred a land tax of 40%. On 16 January 1967 we moved from here to the Royal Ashdown Forest Golf Club see http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1775390

These houses are actually situated in a cul-de-sac off this road but Montague Road forms part of the postal address. The white house is called "Appledore" and was where I lived with my parents from 1951-1967. The bungalow was built between 1967 and 1970 in this part of the garden see http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1782875 which my father sold for £2000.
