Sign for Ashridge Estate Boundary Trail
The trail is a 16 mile waymarked footpath round the National Trust's Ashridge estate. For route see Ordnance Survey Explore http://explore.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/os_routes/show/6678 . This section is on a public bridleway and the sign is accompanied by one from Dacorum Borough Council to show this.

Footpath across playing field
Coming to this grass field it is obviously rolled and cut for sport - I guess for polo. The owners ask walkers not to stray from the footpath marked by white posts each end.
[Edit in June 2020: A comment informs the photographer that it is a polo field but is not used much recently.]
