Apsley top lock 65
Our boat has come into the top of three locks in an industrial area of the canal. The towpath crosses sides here.

Apsley top lock 65
One of three locks at Apsley, and also where the towpath changes sides via the whitewashed (and graffitied) brick bridge below the lock. This has always been an industrial area and it seems that the factory on the left is still in use, although probably not producing what it was built for.

Apsley Marina
The old John Dickinson Paper Mills along the Grand Union were demolished in 2002 and replaced by canalside apartments and a marina for narrow boats.
