Notice outside former Driving Test Centre, Hemel Hempstead
This notice is fixed above a metal railing outside the DTC in Queensway HP2 5HA. It says the following:
Driving Test Candidates permitted entry.
Park in DVSA marked bays, 10 minutes
before test only.
No practicing at any time.
The notice has the word "practicing" in the last line, but I believe that spelling is incorrect. It should perhaps instead be the word "practising". However, I stand to be corrected if I am wrong. Update: I have now discovered that the word "practicing" is the American equivalent of "practising". Update: this DTC closed on Thursday 31st October 2019.

Hemel Hempstead: High Street
This is the southern end of the High Street viewed looking across Queensway from Alexandra Road, with the landmarks, from left to right, of the steeple of St Mary's Church, the tower of the old Town Hall, and the Victorian Gothic steeple of the corner building currently used by ALH Insurance.
The 1940s Ordnance Survey map shows this road junction to be the most important in Hemel with the A4146 road heading south to the left and the A4147 road heading east leaving the junction to go up Alexandra Road towards Hemel Hempstead Midland railway station.
