Rothschild House Surgery
This modern surgery, erected about 25 or more years ago, is named after the Rothschild family who were very active in the town 100 years ago. It is on the corner of Chapel Street - and I cannot remember what was there before - which is one of the reasons why posting pictures now will help future generations!

Leaking Water Main in Western Road, Tring
This is clearly the site of some emergency road works. A hole has been dug in the road at the junction with Chapel Street which is full of water which is clearly welling up from the bottom. It will be interesting to see how big the hole becomes when they start on the repair work.
The Anchor Image is partly hidden by the tree.

Chapel Street, Tring
Chapel Street probably lies on the line of an old drove road that ran from Long Marston, Wilstone, Miswell, and on up the scarp of the Chiltern Hills to Tring Common. Building started here in the first half of the 19th century, the new building on the right is the Rothschild Surgery - which was built in the later part of the 20th century.
