The Ridgeway goes west from Chivery
The Ridgeway long distance path joins an ancient track from Chivery to The Hale and Wendover, which becomes quite a deep holloway when it drops over the edge of the Chilterns. The plant growing in the foreground is Russian Comfrey

The Ridgeway emerges through a hole in a hedge at Chivery
The sign says “Footpath – No Cycles” but the combination of a kissing gate and low headroom would make it difficult to get a bicycle through. At the time the photograph was taken the 4 bedroom house was on the market for £530,000.
