Wigginton - St Bartholomew - Font in former Chantry Chapel
The font in St Bartholomew's church in Wigginton is (as is usual) positioned towards the western end of the church, but in this case within a former chantry chapel which was added to the western end of the nave in the C15th by the Weedon family. The font is adorned with lilies for Easter.

St Bartholomew, Wigginton: west chamber
St Bartholomew's unusual chamber, containing the font, slopes up from the west end of the nave and when built in the 15th century, was a separate building from the church. The roof is the only mediaeval roof design in the church; John Salmon's picture Image shows it better.
