Selling outdoor goods at the regular Tring Market auction
This was the livestock market during much of the 20th century, and auctions of household and other goods still take place here every other Saturday.
The green tent tops in the background at the stalls in the Farmers' Market, held on the same Saturdays as the auctions.

A market has been held in Tring on Fridays for centuries, but early in the 21st century the street market moved to the site of the former livestock market. This shows the flower, fruit and vegetable stalls.

Enormous noughts & crosses game over Tring
Planes heading to and from both Luton and Heathrow airports fly over Tring; on this Spring morning their contrails seem to define an enormous noughts & crosses board - all we needed was for the Red Arrows to turn up to play the game with some coloured smoke!
