Anne Boleyn Cottages, Wendover
There seem to be two explanations as to why this row of picturesque thatched cottages on Tring Road are known as the Anne Boleyn Cottages. One is that they were a wedding gift to Anne from her husband Henry VIII. Wikipedia puts forward a more prosaic theory, that they were so-named because her father held the Manor of Aylesbury which included a part of the town - ownership of which passed to Anne.
