Aylesbury: The Bell Hotel, 40 Market Square
The large gateway to the right shows that this was once a coaching inn. There is a Francis Frith photograph of 1921 of a similar view http://www.francisfrith.com/search/england/buckinghamshire/aylesbury/photos/aylesbury_70563.htm showing that neither the large bell nor the front extension existed at that time. The photo also shows that the hotel belonged to Trust Houses Limited at the time.
