Kingsbury Square, Aylesbury
A beautiful Bank Holiday Monday afternoon, and the crowds are not descending on Aylesbury. It looks pleasant enough for the few people who are about. The white melting snow like things are low level fountains.

John Hampden?s statue in Market Square
This bronze statue of John Hampden 1594-1643 by Henry Fehr stands in Aylesbury Market Square. He lived at Image and was the foremost of Buckinghamshire’s parliamentarians in the run up to the Civil War. His colleague, Arthur Goodwyn, wrote of him, "he was a gallant man, an honest man, an able man, and take all, I know not to any man living second – I would lay it to heart that God takes away the best amongst us".
