Hughenden Stream: Twin pipe culvert crossing in Hughenden Park
This crossing is in the local council owned section of Hughenden Park, not the area of the Park to the North which belongs to the National Trust. As can be seen the water is crystal clear here flowing over a gravel bed. The pipe crossing in front of the culvert would not only partially block the culvert opening in a flood event, but would also catch debris, with the potential risk of the culvert becoming entirely blocked and the stream breaking its banks.
