High Wycombe: Frogmoor railway viaduct
The viaduct dates from 1862 when the Wycombe Railway opened an extension from High Wycombe to Thame, and needed to cross the valley of Hughenden Stream. When it was built the viaduct just crossed Frogmoor Street (now just Frogmoor - in the foreground here), but the arches beyond were utilized in recent times to take the modern day A4128 Archway road through the viaduct. The viaduct now takes the Chiltern Main Line over the valley.
