Old Footpath Sign onto Booker Common
Very old public footpath sign onto Booker Common. The paths do get complicated in this small common. This route is on London Green Belt Way long distance path.

High Wycombe: The Squirrel in Booker
The Squirrel was once an isolated public house on the eastern edge of Booker Common, but the suburban sprawl of High Wycombe reached it many years ago. This is a different perspective to Peter's Image by about 180 degrees.

Lane End Road, junction with Horn's Lane
Of course I had to come and see Horn's Lane. I was underwhelmed.

High Wycombe: Squirrel Lane
As the ultimate antidote to all those photographs submitted to this grid square featuring the M40 Motorway with images taken at 70 mph out of vehicle windscreens here is Squirrel Lane, so narrow that it has no pavements nor vehicle passing places except in residents' driveways. It is so called as it was once, before all the houses were built, one of the lanes to the then isolated Squirrel public house above Booker Common Image

Path into Spring Coppice
I'm not sure this is exactly as shown on the map, although the footpath is marked here on the ground. If you go this way, do not continue to follow the track; it leads to a woodland management area too far to the south-west.

High Wycombe: Highfield Avenue roundabout
This somewhat featureless roundabout is at the junction of Highfield Avenue to the right, Barbers Wood Road where the photographer is standing, Sunningdale Close to the left and Sunters straight ahead.
