'Tree of Life', Marlowes
Also known as 'the history tree', this artwork depicts key historical moments in the town's history, was designed by Peter Parkinson and was sculpted by Richard Quinnell. It was installed in October 1993.

Development of Man, Sculpture, Bridge Street, Hemel Hempstead
Sculptured by A H Gerrard in 1955 the ‘Development of Man’ is on the corner of Bridge Street above the Santander bank and was unveiled by Dame Evelyn Sharp. It is made form Portland stone the four panels portrays man in different ways, ‘Man The Town Dweller’, ‘Man The Machine User’ ‘Pastoral Man’ and ‘Man The hunter’.
