Theakston's brewery in Masham
I haven't been able to locate this scanned photo precisely within the site; the only building I can see on Streetview looking like the one here with its steep-pitched roof and circular window appears in Image but that would imply that the lower building in front of it, which at the time was the brewery tap, was removed between 1994 and 2010.

Theakston's Brewery
In Masham. If you like bitter Masham is the place to be with the renegade Black Sheep Brewery in town also. Theakston's bitter is every bit as good though. I must admit however on my third night in Masham I ended up drinking Lager!

Black Bull, Theakston's Reception and Visitor Centre
The Black Bull in Paradise is the Theakston Brewery Visitor Centre situated at the brewery in Masham. T&R Theakston is the sixteenth largest brewer in the UK by market share, and the second largest brewer under family ownership after Shepherd Neame. The company was founded in 1827 by Robert Theakston and John Wood at the Black Bull pub and brewhouse. The company produces cask ale and pasteurised bottled ales, the best known of its beers is probably Old Peculier which has been made under this name since the 1890s. It is named after the peculier of Masham http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masham#St_Mary.27s_Church.2C_Masham , a peculier being a parish outside the jurisdiction of a diocese.
