Winksley church
A large church in a small and scattered village. The dedication is to St Cuthbert and St Oswald, whilst the building though medieval in style, is as late as 1914-17 and was erected as a gift from Lady Furness of nearby Grantley Hall in memory of her husband.

Winksley village
Though only a few miles west of Ripon, Winksley is an out of the way sort of place approached by narrow and tortuous lanes. There's no shop or pub, but a rather large church.
