Houses bordering the green, North Stainley
This is a view that didn't exist circa pre 1990. Since that date the village has greatly expanded with housing development of high quality to either side of the A6108. The green has a cricket pitch and space for football, and makes a pleasant feature in the centre of the village.

North Stainley Village
Beside the main road, the village pinfold appears to have been incorporated into the churchyard behind the near wall, the adjacent low building has an 1842 date stone and may have been the original school before the larger building was erected in 1871. The far building was formerly a Methodist Chapel.
