Ripon Canal basin
Returning from the end of the Ripon Canal aboard Narrowboat Allen. The end of canal was isolated for many years and the basin derelict. It has now been restored and at the time of the visit was the most northerly point on the connected English & Welsh canal network.

Northern Terminus of the Ripon Canal
The canal approaching a basin near the centre of Ripon, which marks the northern finishing point of the waterway. In fact this is the most northerly point of the Inland Waterway network for England and Wales.

Ripon Canal, Ripon
A boat is moored up just east of Ripon's canal basin. Other than the trip boat moored in the basin itself there were no other vessels around. The Ripon Canal is effectively a short branch off the River Ure and was restored in 1996.
