Terraces at New York
The Old Warehouse is the right-hand end of the terrace at the rear, which is also shown on the right of Image Thanks to John Webb for the information that at the time the photo was taken the building had served as the local fire station for some years. This was replaced in 2013 by a new building on the B6165, close to the Methodist church; see Image for a view of the new fire station taken in 2017.

Old mill cottages, New York
Terraced houses adjacent to New York mill. These must date from the early to mid 19th century as the mill opened in 1825. Those on the right are three storey on this side [the back] but only two storey on the road side.

New York Mill
The mill, which was originally water powered, was built in 1825 as a flax mill, and at one time employed over 200 people. Now converted for use by several small businesses.
