Closed Ford
The ford connecting Knox Mill Lane with Knox Lane has been closed for several years although walkers can still cross Oak Beck using the 17th century Spruisty Bridge. This listed bridge carried packhorse traffic between Knaresborough and Ripley through Bilton, Knox and Killinghall.

Harrogate A61, Knox Lane
Looking south along the A61 towards Harrogate, and to the left is the turn to Knox. According to the OS database there is a benchmark cut into this roadside bridge over the stream. As can be seen the bridge has been rebuilt, probably many times, and there is no benchmark today on the stonework.
