Muddy West Park Stray
West Park Stray has regularly suffered with flooding following heavy rain. However, a period of flooding coincided with the UCI cycling visit. The combination of crowds and vehicles on the Stray with the heavy rain have resulted in the Stray becoming exceptionally muddy and the council fencing off areas to allow the grass to recover.

Apartment block overlooking The Stray
The west side of West Park Stray was developed in the 1850's & 60's with a series of villas. These have been 'picked off' and demolished one by one, to be replaced with apartment blocks like this one.
