National Cycle Network route 67, Harrogate
A path used by pedestrians and cyclists on the outskirts of Harrogate. Here, the path follows the route of a dismantled railway. The railway had closed in 1967, more than 50 years before this image was taken. The path is on the route of National Cycle Network route 67.

The Nidderdale Greenway
The Nidderdale Greenway is being created along the old railway track from Harrogate to cross the Nidd Viaduct and reach Ripley. The Nidderdale Line closed in 1964. It diverged from the Harrogate to York line at Nidd Valley Junction, just behind where this photograph was taken.

"Black 5" 45407 passing Bilton
Preserved "Black 5" 45407 passing Bilton, Harrogate with the "Scarborough Spa Express". This train runs between York-Harrogate-Leeds-York-Scarborough and return throughout the Summer with varying steam motive power.
