The Tour de France rolls into town on the 5th - and indeed. the 6th - and the place is buzzing. Here's Waitrose's tribute. a row of little yellow and green jerseys on the handrail by the walkway at the northern entrance to the store.

Approaching the junction with Station Parade, the A61, which is one way southwards. Vehicles can't head straight on along Victoria Avenue; they must turn left, as the sign indicates, and aren't even allowed to nip in to the Waitrose car park immediately ahead on the left, as that's the exit.

Waitrose Supermarket, Station Parade
This former Safeway store became Waitrose following the buy out of Safeway by Morrisons, who sold off the site. The car park is built over the railway line, although this is not shown on the OS map.

Harrogate Baptist Church
The Victorian church, which dates from about 1883 http://list.english-heritage.org.uk/resultsingle.aspx?uid=1190375&searchtype=mapsearch , is on Marlborough Road, between North Park Road (foreground) and Victoria Avenue. See also Image Listed because of "townscape value of spire".
