Footpath to Deanhouse, Netherthong
This would have been the route to work for many people before Deanhouse Mills closed. Now it is a safe route to school from the new houses, the school being at the top end of the path.

Deanhouse Farm
The hamlet of Deanhouse is near to Netherthong but was on the edge of Honley township. The farm probably came first, and the hamlet will have grown after Deanhouse woollen mill was established.

Weaver's houses, Deanhouse Lane, near Netherthong
Good examples of houses with a third storey used as a loom-shop. These were gradually superseded by textile mills such as the nearby Deanhouse Mill (now demolished).
