Old milestone, Woodhead Road
This probably dates back to when this was a turnpike road, and is one of a series that were not replaced by the newly-formed county council at the end of the 19C. It is inscribed Huddersfield miles, Woodhead 8½ miles. It is listed, Grade II. See Image] for a close view.
