This double-fronted house is on the end of a row of seven terrace houses going down from the main road, perhaps an example of someone building a house to live in and others to let out to give an income.

Tenter posts on display off Warehouse Hill Road, Marsden
These were used to dry and stretch woollen cloth after scouring. The cloth was held by tenterhooks onto wooden boards fastened between the posts.

Mill and pond, Marsden
I believe this is probably Clough Lee Mill and my locations are approximate. The satellite shows that this appears to have gone, although the pond is still there. Looking at the complex on the ground, I'm pretty sure it would have had a water power plant, latterly almost certainly a turbine, as there was a tall dam hard up against the mill. I was looking forward to going back for an explore, until I saw the satellite.
