A descriptive name for a lane that slants up the hillside. Apart from the two name-plates on the other photograph, there is an old one on the nearest terrace house.

This road nameplate is an extra one (there is one at the extreme left of the photo) and has evidently been transferred from Slant Gate in Kirkburton, as at the top it has 'Kirkburton UDC' in red letters.

Old milestone
Another of the West Riding CC milestones in need of some tlc. This one is between Milnsbridge and Linthwaite opposite LP160. It is set at its full height with all 4 fixing points on the attachment into the backing stone visible. There will be 20cm of backing stone under soil level. It is Grade II listed 1217380.
