Heath House Mill
I believe this mill was a late user of woollen mules but is now in multiple occupancy. The chimney has gone. It donated a steam engine to Wortley Top Forge many years ago.

Bank End Road, Golcar
A fine row of former weaver's cottages near the later Heath House Mill (out of sight to the right). Golcar was a major centre of the domestic woollen industry and there are many of these with their characteristic closely spaced top floor windows.

Bank End Road and Copley Bank Road, Golcar
Here Bank End Road changes from wide tarmac to narrow crushed stone, and Copley Bank Road goes off to the right at an easier gradient. However on the 1850 map the latter is the narrower of the two.
