Brighouse Library
This was built c.1841 as 'The Rydings' and converted to a library in 1898. An art gallery was added in 1907.

Rydings Park, Halifax Road, Brighouse
The Rydings was bought for the town by public subscription to commemorate Queen Victoria's Jubilee in 1897. The library opened in 1898, and presumably the grounds of the houses were adapted as a public park at about the same time.
